  • Graphite.Org A great website that allows you to search websites, apps, and programs based on grade level, price, and subject. Each is rated for learning value and teacher value.

  • IPAD-It's Elementary: Excellent website that has information on using tablets in your class, as well as lists of applications for IPad's for every subject.



  • eduPAD: A website with information on the various applications they provide. Includes Math, Science, English, Social Studies, and even Music. Activities are all based on the Common Core. These do cost money, but if you have iPads or tablets, this would be a wise investment.

  • Plague Inc.: This game is an excellent simulation on how a bacteria, virus, or parasite infects humans, spreads globally, and possibly shuts down the planet. Great science game that has incredible possibilities in the classroom. Read a review here. I have used this as a simulation in American History class when discussing the Flu Epidemic of 1918.

  • Science Game Center: This website hosts a collection of educational games for math and science. The collection is searchable according to subject, concept, rating, and platform.

  • SimpleMind A Droid based mind mapping application, it is absolutely free, and works great for brain storming, note taking, and essay planning.
